2022-08-27 Saturday Peaceful Freedom Rally
12noon - 1pm St. Margaret's Parkette on 4138 Lawrence Avenue East
Rally along the sidewalk at 12noon - 1pm in front of St. Margaret's Parkette on 4138 Lawrence Avenue East
Please bring a sign, flag, flyers etc. if you have them. This is an opportunity for you to make your views known to your MP, John McKay, who is holding his annual picnic in the parkette from noon to 3pm. Depending on turnout the rally may continue past 1pm. If you plan to come after 1pm please let me know gknittl@sympatico.ca
This is a peaceful protest. Keep it separate from the picnic.
Respect the picnic
If you plan to attend the picnic please RSVP john.mckay.c1a@parl.gc.ca.
If you have a sign, leave it with other protesters at the sidewalk if visiting the picnic.
Take turns going to talk to MP McKay in groups of 1 or 2. Respect him and his views. Have a civil discussion with him. Respect his time. Plan for a minute or two and be ready to make your point. Leave when he indicates the conversation is over. Politics is a numbers game. It’s to your advantage to let as many people talk to him as possible.
Federal Role in the pandemic
Try to be on topic. Health is mainly a provincial responsibility in Canada, but the Federal government played a huge role in the pandemic:
Health Canada approved vaccines, including for children
Canada Customs made it difficult to obtain Ivermectin, HCQ etc
Transport Canada mandated vaccines on trains and planes - and unable to produce scientific evidence for them
Invoked the Emergency Measures Act - MP McKay voted for this, which never got past the Senate. Why this was ever invoked is beyond me. Bridge protests were cleared prior to the Emergency Measures invocation. After the protest Tamara Lich spent weeks in jail over mischief charges with no Emergency Measures in effect.
The federal government financed lockdown measures etc. massively increasing our debt
Other rallies on Saturday:
Nothing showing for downtown Toronto at
But a number of people have told me that rallies continue at Queen’s Park at noon on Saturday.
