Toronto Mayor - Election on Monday the 26th; Jordan Peterson
With 102 candidates for Mayor, I don’t claim to know them all. Here are some that I do have opinions about:
Mitzie Hunter - ardent vaxxer and uncritical booster of the World Health Organization, doesn’t get my vote
Olivia Chow - I associate her with the NDP who is in my bad books federally for supporting the Emergency Measures Act, the Online Streaming Act etc etc.
Anthony Furey - https://furey.ca/2023/04/14/no-to-injection-sites-yes-to-mandatory-treatment/ I’ve spent almost 2 years protesting against medical overreach. Although Furey voiced concerns about vaccine mandates, if he won’t respect the medical freedom of the homeless, I’m not counting on him to stand up for my medical freedom
Sarah Climenhaga - has interesting ideas but doesn’t seem to want to actually do politics and get elected. For example she will not say if she would fire Dr de Villa or even investigate her handling of the pandemic.
Chris Saccoccia (Sky) - has stood up against lockdowns and vaccine mandates and suffered multiple arrests and charges for his stands. Is he going to find billions of dollars in savings? probably not. In my opinion, one person, even the mayor, will not get far against the Toronto bureaucracy. Yet, it is so important to have some public official speaking up for our freedoms that I will vote for him. The alternative is to continue our slide into tyranny.
We are likely to have to live with less energy going forward. As far as I can tell, no candidate is addressing this elephant in the room.
The Canadian Constitution Foundation has posted a summary video of the Jordan Peterson judicial review So much of our lives is regulated by administrative tribunals and they really seem to be struggling to take the Charter into account. Especially to balance the overall interest of society against the interest of their professional group or whatever other subset of society they regulate.
Rally at Markham and Lawrence this Saturday from 11:00am - 12 noon
Please bring a sign, flag, flyers etc. if you have them. There are at least 2 freedom aware candidates in the race for Toronto mayor: Chris Sky and Sarah Climenhaga. I have 1 Chris Sky lawn sign. I gave away 4 t-shirts last week. If you want a t-shirt try Chris Sky campaign headquarters at 1430 Birchmount.
If you can’t see us from the corner at Markham and Lawrence, then check the parking lot in front of Healthy Planet!
Other rallies on Saturday:
Chris Sky FREE BBQ Sat June 24, 1to6pm 1430 Birchmount Rd. (north of Lawrence)
