Sarah A. Choujounian; Tamara Lich; Upcoming Events
The re-examination of defense witness, Dr. Stephen Pelech, concluded today. There was wrangling over follow up questions related to the cross exam of portions of Dr. Pelech’s report where he was not accredited as an expert. It seemed to me that Ms Choujounian “won” this tussle except that she has to pay for a couple of hours of legal fees for testimony that the panel probably won’t weight very heavily.
Ms. Choujounian’s second witness, Dr Byram Bridle, started to testify to his qualifications in the afternoon. It seemed to me that Ms. Choujounian’s lawyer, Alexander Boissonneau-Lehner, was very focused on on getting Dr. Bridle as fully qualified as possible after the débâcle with Dr. Stephen Pelech. I thought Dr. Bridle did a good job explaining his qualifications and their relevance to the hearing but we will have to wait and see the cross exam from the College and then the decision from the panel.
I would have more respect for the College of Nurses if they actually held themselves to the same standards of evidence they demand of Ms. Choujounian.

The defense lawyers seem to be doing a top notch job. The Crown and their witnesses so far, come across to me as either incompetent or deliberately trying to extend the trial to punish Lich and Barber by running up their legal bill and wasting their time. Perhaps something akin to the contempt feudal lords might have had for serfs.
