RFK JR’s HHS Challenge; Self Amplifying mRNA Phase 1 Trial in the USA
The Highwire has an interesting segment with their lead attorney Aaron Siri starting at 3:25 about the challenges RFK JR will face dealing with the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) should he be confirmed as secretary. HHS has 85K employees and there are 300 odd political appointees at the top of the agency. Under that is a powerful layer of high level civil service management. We will have a better idea of what reforms may be possible once Kennedy and all the political appointees are in place.
