Ostrich On ice; Lich/Barber judgement

Federal Court has found in favour of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA)’s order to kill the now apparently healthy ostriches at Universal Ostrich Farms. The ostriches are still alive only because the the Board of Directors at the Regional District of Central Kootenay (RDCK) voted to reject ostrich carcasses at all landfill sites until the birds have been re-tested for avian flu.
