100 Day MAHA Report; Councillor Ainslie bubble bylaw vote; Ongoing Ostriches
The 100 Day MAHA Report was presented at the White House on 2025-05-22. Just a glance at the table of contents shows it is a considerable change and has stirred up considerable debate as to whether it goes far enough as far as vaccines are concerned. Mainstream media has attacked some of the 522 footnotes in the report. I’ll be watching for a response to these critiques.
At his community meeting on Tuesday evening Councillor Ainslie explained that he voted against the protest bubble bylaw because after reading the City’s (confidential) legal opinion he didn’t think the bylaw would hold up in court. I then asked why he voted to keep the City’s legal opinion secret. I don’t recall his exact answer. Councillor Ainslie didn’t know if there would be a registry of sites or a requirement to post signs for sites that request protection.
As best I can tell the ostriches at Universal Ostrich in BC are still alive. This is a federal issue. You can write to our local MP gary.anand@parl.gc.ca and or the federal Minister of Health marjorie.michel@parl.gc.ca
