Tyrannies of the week
I was the only critical speaker at the Toronto Board of Health meeting this Monday. It’s more than one citizen can keep track off, but I thought I heard them angling to keep vaccination budgets they built up during the pandemic. Ontario just passed Bill 100 making some of the powers the Ontario PCs gave themselves under a state of emergency permanent.
These permanent measures include:
Fines and/or jail time for anyone deemed to be "impeding access to or egress from, or the ordinary use of, protected transportation infrastructure."
Giving the Registrar of Motor Vehicles the power to suspend or cancel the plate portion of a permit for a commercial motor vehicle or trailer or a CVOR certificate without a hearing.
Giving police new powers to arrest without warrant.
The WHO has been working on their disastrous Pandemic Treaty.
Upcoming Elections
We have a provincial election coming June 2nd, a federal Conservative leadership race September 10th and Toronto municipal elections October 24th. It’s important to demonstrate and organize locally so we can more effectively lobby our local Scarborough politicians. Please also consider filling out this form to connect by email and the first 3 characters of your postal code.
Rally at Markham and Lawrence this Saturday from 1pm -2pm
Last week there were two of us and we made some connections. There are people out there that feel isolated and it is very rewarding to be able to show them they are not alone. If nobody else is there by 1:30pm, I will shop at Healthy Planet and then head home. You are welcome to come earlier and/or stay longer but best to let me know in advance. If you can’t see us from the corner at Markham and Lawrence, then check the parking lot in front of Healthy Planet.
Please bring a sign, flag, empty gas cans, flyers etc. if you have them. By all means bring signs to support political candidates that support medical and other freedoms. Here are some examples. James Bountrogiannis who started these rallies is submitting papers to run in Scarborough North. If Mitzie Hunter or John McKay want to rally to support freedom, they are welcome too, although Yvonne and I have never seen them during our many protests at their offices… John McKay’s office is still closed. I don’t know why he bothers having a constituency office. In the federal Conservative leadership race, Roman Baber from North York has been early and steadfast in his opposition to many of the provincial COVID-19 mandates. Leslyn Lewis has also criticized mandates and vaccinating children.
Other rallies on Saturday:
Downtown Toronto:
Mandate Freedom https://thelibertyclub.ca/events/2022-04-16/ End All Federal Mandates!
https://thelinecanada.com/protests also points to Mandate Freedom.
Durham region:
Durham Freedom Rally in Whitby https://www.facebook.com/Rise-Up-Durham-106568641538038/ points to 605 Rossland rd east in Whitby, Ontario 12:00 PM.
Hello! I haven’t said a word nor have I made it out to any events created by this group. However, I am truly interested in making an impact I just don’t know how. I’m 29 and I’ve lost almost all my friends because of my stance, because I was vocal, even the people on my side won’t speak out. It’s getting hard for me to cope. My name is Michael berechet I live in the guild next to poplar road public school. My phone number is 6475509873 please do connect in a text or call and I’d be happy to speak with you and am interested to understand what the heck were going to do about this.. all I can think of us fleeing this country. It’s a terrible time to be Canadian.
